Summary
TMP UK Ltd have used a number of Rainmaker Coaching’s services to improve their staff development and revenue development strategies with many of their top accounts. They have used, our executive and behavioural coaching capabilities and our ability to develop tailored training solutions which fit requirements both for people development and within the business needs. We have also built with them a way to pull their account teams together under a common planning system. This now enables them to deliver client focused plans and opportunities for them and their clients to work jointly towards their goals.
What happened?
TMP initially contacted Rainmaker Coaching to help them with some targeted staff development. We supplied a number of executive and behavioural coaching sessions for selected high potential candidates. These initial cases were considered to be very successful. With the action focused coaching plans owned by the candidates and their respective managers being of such good quality, that a further round of candidates has been selected and is now in progress.
This led to discussions on Talent Management and Succession Planning, a hot topic for a company committed to staff development, as TMP clearly is. Rainmaker tailored, with all of TMP’s documentation and processes, a series of training and development activities to be delivered in short sharp bursts (2‐hour sessions) over a number of weeks, so as to minimise General Managers time away from the business. Delivery was successful and the buy‐in of the GM’s to the new processes was accomplished and began discussions on further training needs for TMP.
In the meantime discussions also revealed improvements were required in TMP’s Client account planning.
Rainmaker Coaching built a standard workshop for TMP’s top 12 clients which brought all their teams together. Everyone agreed ‘Big Hairy Audacious Goals’ for them and focused their attention on 3 key breakthroughs that would improve client satisfaction, understanding and identify key opportunities for TMP in their top accounts. This programme rolled‐out to the Top accounts and there are plans afoot to cascade the process to other accounts in the portfolio.
